I quit the restorative justice part of my job today. Im going to stay on as admin and start studying cultural heritage management early next year. Very looking forward to it.

Ive started doing a bit of cultural heritage research already in my free time, actually. Ive had a few, er, in-depth interviews over dinners and campfires with the VNM who happens to be a current practitioner ...

and its all good but i have to wonder - why does it often turn out this way in my world?

Time for an update

In the last few weeks I have:

lost 4 kg (so far - we have a group effort going at work, and if you gain weight you gotta pay $5)
started playing water polo
met a Very Nice Man
spent 48+ hrs straight outside, swagging it beside the campfire on a beautiful piece of land 45 mins from home, with the aforementioned Very Nice Man
renovated my bedroom (photos coming once the windows have been done and the orange is all gone)
been rather sick due to mould poisoning after renovating my bedroom (lesson learned: wear a mask!)
made a few new friends
spent quite a bit of time reading about Mr. Unavailable and the Fallback Girl
had my first pedicure (photos coming at some stage)
delivered a 45min presentation on shame to 50 or so school teachers
fallen in love with Abbie Cardwell after seeing her play at the Grace Emily
been to see Michael Franti and Spearhead (3hrs straight they played, it was an awesome gig!)
lost money on the Melbourne Cup, yet again
experimented with mail order shopping (FAIL - my body shape is such that I’ve just gotta try stuff on before I buy it)
started hanging out at a local pub (again with the aforementioned VNM)
stopped experiencing sciatic pain in my left leg
broke a toe on my right foot (actually, that one was just last night - the colour of it is stupendous! I will make that today’s photo I think!)
had a number of very nice dinners out
generally not been home anywhere near as much as I usually am and hence -
lost the beautiful cat Billy Boy to nearby neighbours
gained a prospective sister-in-law

So as you can see, i have been pretty busy, and not on the computer much. I havent been taking many photos either, despite my resolve to take at least a photo a day. I should get back to that again, but then i have to edit them and all that, and there is such a stack of pics already waiting to be edited, inc from back in July when Kuri was visiting! Bah, enough excuses already. Do, or do not. There is no try.
